Dear Rick,Unfortunately there is nothing that you can do now but sand and hope you dont go through.Rippling comes from not enough uniform pressure, too much glue or a combination of the two.I suspect that you had pressure but not uniform enough, thats the problem with clamping.Even though you had lots of clamps, the question is, what was the pressure in between theclamps. This is where vacuum pressing shines, very uniform pressure. Its not that there is anything wrong with clamping, its just the difficulty in getting the pressure uniform enough.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I have gotten ripples in the Pau Ferro that i glued up onto a 4' x 4' : tabletop. My method for clamping was cauls and clamps....many many : of them, with no more than 4 inches between cauls (Unibond was : glue). I flattenned the veneer first and had no problems with the : seems but the ripples seem large enough that i will probably sand : through the veneer in order to smooth them out. I have two : questions...: 1. can i do anything about this now?: 2. Would this have happened with a vacuum clamping system????: Thanks: Rick sahlman
