What is the difference (if any) between:"crossbanding", "subveneer", "backing veneer" ? Thanx.

Dear Peter,I consider subveneer and backing veneer the veneer directly underneath the face veneer. Crossbanding can be that as well as any veneer that makes up the core of plywood.Thats just my understanding, I dont claim to be an expert on these terms.
