Hi, i'm making a table with two curved sides and want to put a 1/8" inlay banding on the top to follow the curve. My question is how do I get straight banding to bend without buckling or tearing? The radius is not tight, about 1" over 4'. Thanks in advance, Wade.

Dear Wade,You wont have any trouble getting the inlay to bend around your table. In fact you could getan 1/8" inlay to go around a much tighter radius. The key is to tap it in with a hammer andblock of wood as you go. As long as your inlay fits tight in the groove it will go fine. Try it ona sample piece to get the feel.SincerelyDarryl Keil: Hi, i'm making a table with two curved sides and want to put a 1/8" : inlay banding on the top to follow the curve. My question is how do I : get straight banding to bend without buckling or tearing?
