I plan to veneer solid poplar tapered legs w/ mahogany/inlaid veneer. The grain direction on the veneer & LEG WILL BOTH BE LONGITUDINAL, IS THIS OK?

Dear Peter,Yes this is fine. In fact veneer on top of solid wood should always go the same direction. Theveneer is just a very thin layer of solid so both will expand and contract together.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I plan to veneer solid poplar tapered legs w/ mahogany/inlaid veneer.
