Due to high exchange rate between Canada and the U.S., I am trying to biuld a vacuum press. I've got everything I need except some form of vacuum regulator. I'm using an old surplus military vacuum pump (god knows what they use it for, I can't even get a wiring diagram for it) that pulls a solid 23 hg. I'm afraid that i'll burn it out if I leave it running for hours at a time though. I'm thinking about some kind of pressure switch - but in reverse of course - like the switch on a compressor that tells it to start and stop. Any ideas would be really appreciated.
