Can I use 1/4" masonite as a substrate for veneer. Is it exactly the same as 1/4" MDF.

Dear Richard,Do not use masonite for veneering. Its surface is not designed for laminating on top of. Veneer will not stick as well and what does stick can be ripped off easily taking some of the masonite with it. It is also my understanding that tempered masonite has some oil in it which makes it even worse.SincerelyDarryl Keil: Can I use 1/4" masonite as a substrate for veneer.
