Dear Glenn,As long as you wick the moisture out thoroughly with the paper before pressing you will be fine. Are you sure you need to do this as I have never found 1/16 or 1/8 veneer to really need flatening and Im not sure how effective flattening solution will be at that thickness. Something to think about.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I am about to laminate up a lot of curved trim pieces for my boat interior using 1/8" and 1/16" cherry veneer and epoxy. : (companionway steps, fiddle rails, bunk combings, door frames, etc.) Some of the veneers need to be flattened first. I : usually wet it down with 10% glycerine and water solution and press it in paper for a few days but I am worried about the : effect the glycerine will have on epoxy. Anyone have experience with this?: If there is a compatability problem with epoxy I need to decide on a different waterproof glue. What kind of results has : anyone gotten veneering with polyurethane glue?
