Hi, I laminated up some com some 4 layer 1/16 inch cedar veneer constant camber compound curved pannels for making the Puffin rowboat. They were vacuum bagged over a male mold. The veneers were stapled to the mold at the ends with a polyethelene releasesheet between. The problem is that even though we tailored therelease sheet by cutting and taping the release sheet. This left epoxy wrinkles on the concave side of my pannel. How can I avoid this in the future? Is there something that iselastic, or can the poly sheet be heated and stretched over themold? Pictures of the boat can be seen at:http://www.boatdesigns.com/cgi-bin/store/web_store.cgi?page=ccamberdaysailers.html&&cart_id=7232055_4230#gullIf you want to get the plans, the best way is directly from the designer, John Marples, at (904) 824-2688. http://www.searunner.com/order.html Mr. Marples is very helpful, theother guy is not.

Dear Karl,My experience with vacuum presses is pimarily in the wood furniture field so I dont have any good advise for you on this one. You may want to go to the West System epoxy web site and see if you can ask the question there. Their thing is boat work. Web site is www.westsystem.com SincerelyDarryl Keil: Hi, I laminated up some com some 4 layer 1/16 inch cedar veneer : constant camber compound curved pannels for making the Puffin : rowboat.
