Dear Jim,I have used Polyrethane glue for a number of projects and think it is a good addition to ones glue arsenal. For general veneering I dont use it or like it much, it is quite thick and a pain to spread. Its also quite expensive, especially on large areas. If you put too much on, it foams a lot with excessive bleed through. Urea is still the glue I use most along with yellow glue sometimes. My main use for polyurethane is when I dont want any moisture to be added to the veneer, like when Im veneering a cylinder and I don't want the return joint swelling even a fraction. You also dont have to mix it like urea so what you dont use can be reused. Be aware that polyurethane sticks to the bag more than any other glue, so protect your bag. It also is not water clean up like urea and what get on your hands will be there for days if you dont get it off fairly soon.Thats my experience, I suggest you give it a try and form your own opinionSincerelyDarryl Keil : : Has anybody used polyurethane (gorilla glue) for veneering in a: vacuum bag? Is Urea glue a better type to use for this application?: What tradeoffs are there - ease of use, toxicity, cost etc.?: Thank you,: Jim
