Dear Thor,I suggest getting some GF20 which is a veneer softener, this should help. I would soakthe veneers, then press it into your shape with 2 or 3 pieces of newspaper between eachlayer of veneer to draw out as much of the GF20 as possible. Change the newspaper 3 or4 times. This will bring the veneer back to being almost dry and it should roughly be inthe shape you want. For Unibond 800 to bond properly the cell structure of the veneer cannot be saturatedwith some other liquid otherwise it will not adhere well. You can get GF20 from us, call207-725-0935SincerelyDarryl Keil: What do you suggest to make veneer more flexible to conform to a form : that is 16" dia. with a 45 degree bevel. My first try had several : wrinkles and cracks. I am trying to make round and oval trays out of 3 : or 5 plys of veneer. If I soak or steam the veneer will Unibond work : correctly?
