Dear Bruce,For the most part consider the movement to be the same a solid would be, maybe slightly less because its laminated but not much. I dont know the overall size of your panel but you could lay the 1/16" laminations 90 degrees to each other. That would make for a very stable panel. Something to consider unless the edges will show and you dont want that look.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I'm gluing up a curved panel from 1/16" thk pieces of cherry that : will be 1/2" final thickness and need to know what to expect for wood : movement due to humidity / temp. The panel is divider in a secretary : desk and will be attached to solid cherry shelves on top and bottom. : I'm keeping the grain in the lamination oriented in the same : direction as the solid pieces (no cross banding) hoping to get them : to expand and contract at the same rate. Anyone have experience with : this. Will the wood movement in the lamination be much different : than the solid piece?
