Dear Ken,Sure, it will work although its a little on the edge. 20"hg is on the lower end but it is acceptable provided you are not at a higher elevation like Denver or something. As you go up in elevation you go down in vacuum level. This pump will allow you to try things out and see how you like veneering.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I have a gast #0211 rotary vane pump. Spec's are 1/6hp cont. duty, : 1.3cfm open flow, 20" hg max. I want to try my hand at vacuum : veneering and wonder if this pump would work on the bag size of your : compact 100. This would be for home use only, and cost is an issue at : this time. If I can get away with just buying the bag at this point : to try my hand at it it would be better.If all works out then in the : future I want to get a larger size, but if this pump would work it : would let me practice before jumping into the cost of a larger system.: Thanks for any info: Ken W
