I have a great piece of figured Bubing and I will probably make the veneer 1/4" thick. 2 part to this. 1) does bubinga bleed through and 2)could I use cherry on the other side or do I need to use bubing there as well. It will probably be on a plywood substrate or solid wood if you think that is better. yes this is my first glue up.thanksedward

Edward,Sawn veneer wont bleed through and cherry is fine on the back. What you cannot do is have your resawn veneer be 1/4" thick. It wont act like veneer at that thickness. It needs to be under 1/8" before it will be stable when you glue it down.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I have a great piece of figured Bubing and I will probably make the : veneer 1/4" thick. 2 part to this. 1) does bubinga bleed through and : 2)could I use cherry on the other side or do I need to use bubing : there as well.
