Considering using a compact 100 to help with some plastic laminating ("pl") i have to do. Questions:1. What are the advantages over traditional pl techniques? 2. How durable is the unibond glue in such applications (pl over particleboard/mdf)?3. Can the vacupress clamp both sides of a 24x48 sheet in one operation?4. Tricks or tehniques that may help? Thanks,Rob Walker

Rob,Plastic laminate can be successfully glued with contact cement but a wood glue in a press is truly a superior bond. No chance of lifting edges or delamination.Unibond 800 will give you a very rigid permanent bond, and yes you can do both sides at the same time.Using a vacuum press for plastic laminate is very strait forward, no special tips are really needed, just roll the glue on the substrate and press it up.SincerelyDarryl Keil: Considering using a compact 100 to help with some plastic laminating : ("pl") i have to do. : Questions:: 1.
