If sanded both sides can ordinary 1/4" hardboard be used for substrate using unibond? Thanks!

Dean,Hardboard sanded or not is not a good veneering substrate. Some kinds have a oil in them and while others that stick but still allow a layer of hardboard to come off if you pull on the veneer. Stay with 1/4" mdf, particle board, or baltic birch.SincerelyDarryl Keil: If sanded both sides can ordinary 1/4" hardboard be used for substrate using unibond? Thanks!
