Darryl--Wanted to let you know that the crossed seamed versionn of the extra lrg bag has worked out quite well. What would be the suggested range of vacumn @ 7000 feet. I glued up samples using a range of 15-19"--the sample seems fine, but looks can be deceiving. Also--should there definitely be bleed through on walnut in order to have a good bond. Thanks for your help---it's been quite valuable--Oz

Oz,If your pump is self regulating that range is probably about right for 7000ft. As far as your sample goes, bleed through is not mandatory but a least a little on an open grain wood like walnut is a good sign. The best test is to simply wipe the veneer with water. If any areas are not well bonded the veneer will bubble up in those spots. Better to know now rather than later when the finish is on.SincerelyDarryl Keil: Darryl--Wanted to let you know that the crossed seamed versionn of : the extra lrg bag has worked out quite well.
