I have recently tried applying quarterd maple to particle board with yellow glue. I do fine until I do the larger pieces in the 100x30 range. I am getting many wrinkles....why?

Rod,First, maple is probably the worst veneer for wrinkling and using yellow glue doesnt help. You dont mention it but having a cover sheet (something 1/4" or thicker) over the veneer is a must. Also, if you are going to use yellow glue you have to work very fast once the veneer touches the glue. You may want to consider Urea Resin glue for the larger panels.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I have recently tried applying quarterd maple to particle board with : yellow glue.
