I have recently tried applying quarterd maple to particle board with yellow glue. I do fine until I do the larger pieces in the 100x30 range. I am getting many wrinkles....why?

Rod,First, maple is probably the worst veneer for wrinkling and using yellow glue doesnt help. You dont mention it but having a cover sheet (something 1/4" or thicker) over the veneer is a must. Also, if you are going to use yellow glue you have to work very fast once the veneer touches the glue.
