I have turned a circular cabinet (20" diameter) with a backing sheet ie closed one end and tried to veneer the inside using a vacuum press. The veneer has buckled because the bag cannot fully reach the inside edge. Can you please suggest any way to fix this or a suitable accessoryRegardsJohn Hawkswell

John,Let me suggest two thing. First, lay up a two ply veneer which will be more stable and wont buckle in the areas of poor pressure. Second, you may want to consider a bladder bag which is a bag that would go inside your cabinet and inflate to provide pressure while the vacuum press provides outside pressure against the bladder bag. You can see it on the main section of this web page under Air Form.SincerelyDarryl Keil: : I have turned a circular cabinet (20" diameter) with a backing sheet : ie closed one end and tried to veneer the inside using a vacuum : press.
