I just atempted my first pressing with some swirl mahogany. It had some slight warps to it but I didn't think they were bad enought to flatten. As I was glueing the piece up it cracked in one place. So I lightly misted it with flattening solution and proceeded with the pressing. It seemed to press ok, my question is; is there any protential problems I should watch out for. I left it the press for about 4 hours and feels dry to the touch, will it crack later? Any help would be appricated.

Rick,The addition of moisture right before pressing may cause some fizzuring in the veneer as it dries out. You would see it in the first week, probably in the next day or two if it is going to happen.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I just atempted my first pressing with some swirl mahogany.
