I?d like to make up some panels using honeycomb but would like to usea lighter material between the honeycomb and veneer than MDF. Whatwould you recommend?Thanks

Howard,What about plywood? You can go all the way down to 1/8" and still have a strong panel, a little hollow sounding at that thickness but still solid. You could go with a carbon fiber sheet material but I assume that is getting a little too high tech for your situation.
