We have used Unibond for years without problems until now. First noticed a gray stain on Cherry layups where the glue bled through the veneer. The gray was through the wood therefore would not sand out. The panels had to be discarded. Now we are seeing a stain on Walnut that is lighter colored where the glue bleeds through - it looks as if bleach was applied in the area. All these problems arise since we received two gallons of glue this Spring. Are we contaminating or what?

Dave,I dont know why all of a sudden you are having staining problems now but not previously. The manufacturing of Unibond 800 is very consitent and I am sure your batch is not bad.I will say that is sound like you may be using a bit too much glue. Too much bleed through can stain veneer. You may want to give me a call at 207-725-0935 so we can discuss the particulars in more detail. The forum is great but it can be hard to get all the detail without a conversation.SincerelyDarryl Keil: We have used Unibond for years without problems until now.
