Subject : venerring edges of headboard

I'm embarking on my largest veneering project to date. A headboard for a poster bed with a curved top and cutouts on the sides with fairly tight radii. What is the best method for glueing these edges? I'm between contact cement, dried yellow glue and an iron, and making cauls. Any any advise is appreciated.

If it's only a couple of small edges that your doing, then contact cement would work, otherwise, I would cut my veneer just a little wider than the substrate and use a caul of the same size, glue, then tape it on. Hope this helps, John.
