WarrenI just built a mechanism exaclty like you described for my new veneering system. So far it has worked well. I made a simple frame out of 2x4s to go under the baseboard which I just leave in the bag at all times. I left the ends of the frame long so that I could attach the 1/4" nylon rope I used. In the joists above the baseboard I hung pulleys. I routed all 4 ropes thru those pulleys to 4 more that were next to the wall. I then rigged up a bucket with sand as a counterweight. This is obviously just very general info, but I can say that thus far it has worked well.Keith: I am establishing a workshop which will include a large frame press : veneer table. Space is limited in my shop, and I plan to suspend the : veneer table from the ceiling so it can be lowered when needed, and : then raised back to the ceiling during a glue-up, or when not in use.: If anyone has done this, it will help a lot to hear a description of : how you did this. Did you use pulleys, ropes, cleats, or other : mechanisms??? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
