: Hi, I am new to vac. veneering, as well as veneering in general. I : did a test piece, on plywood. I have decent joints,(used a router and : a guide board??) and spread what I thought was the right amount of : yellow glue on the plywood only. I clamped and had bleed in a lot of : areas. If I sand, will it still stain / finish ok or do I need to : redo the whole pannel?. Should I have thinned the yellow glue? how do : I avoid bleed on normal cherry veneer? I have some 2 part Urea form. : glue I have yet to try. All help appreciated, DaveDave, I reccomend you buy a 1/8 nap foam roller to spread the glue with, ther inexpensive and they do a great job. There is no need to thin the glue because then you would have even more bleedthrough. A little bleed lets you know you have just the right amount of glue. Experiment a little and you'll be a master at it in no time. You can scrape or sand most bleed and it will not affect the finishing. Hope this helps, John.
