I am new to woodworking and will be starting a project on a kitchen cabinet with a convex curved face. I plan on using Kerf-core or timberflex plywood for the substrate and a Prima Vera veneer face. My questions are 1.which side of the door to veneer first. 2. do i need an inner and outer form to keep the shape consistant(like a sandwich of forms) 3. which type of glue to use. I was planning on using Titebond II. Any tips or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Dear Brian,You can use just the male form provided you are using a vacuum press, otherwise you will need mating forms, and they will need to mate very well to get a good bond with the veneer. I suggest you veneer both sides of the door at the same time. Although you can use Titebond II it does tack rather quickly, regular yellow glue will give you more open time and I cant imagine you need the waterproof rating Titebond II offers for kitchen cabinets.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I am new to woodworking and will be starting a project on a kitchen : cabinet with a convex curved face.
