I've been using your Unibond 800 glue with great results. I'm currently using it on Padauk veneer and solids and have found that the glue seems to react with the wood and there is a very thin but dark glue line. I'm using the dark catalyst, but the glue line is a burgundy color, not brown. I have used PVA glue on the Padauk and no dark glue line. I would much rather use your Unibond glue, particularly since the panel is rather large ( 22" x 96 ")and rolling the PVA onto both sides in time before the glue starts to set up I think would be touchy. Would it be possible to use Unibond on one side and PVA on the other ? (These 1" thick ply panels have 1/2" solid edging, then will be veneered, thus the need for a nearly invisible glue line, however only one face shows.)By the way, I've owned and used one of your vacuum presses for over 11 years and couldn't be happier with the product!

Gustav,First, I would try the medium catalyst on a sample and see what that looks like. If that doesnt do the trick you could do the two different kinds of glue idea. The problem with this idea is the two glues will pull differently as they dry and you could have some warpage. It may not be much since your panel is 1" thick but you will get some. I also dont know if this panel will be a free swinging door or a fixed panel. If its a fixed panel I think you should be fine. Thanks for the positive feedback on the press. Im glad to hear its still working well for you after all these years.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I've been using your Unibond 800 glue with great results.
