Subject : Should Yellow Glue Also Bleed Thru?

Getting expected amount of bleed thru with Unibond. Tried a sample pressing of cherry veneer with Titebond II this afternoon. One half had what I thought would be appropriate amount of yellow glue on the pine plywood substrate, other half had 50% more. Had some accumulated squeeze out around the heavy side, but no bleed thru at all. Does yellow glue also bleed thru if applied properly?

I've experienced very little bleed-through with yellow glue, when the veneer is sound. You simply must get the sandwich in the press very quickly with yellow glue and apply glue only to the substrate.
