Subject : another bending question

One more question in regard to bending cedar to a D shaped form. Does the glue take longer to dry when using the bags? Hubby used to use forms & clamps before getting the vacupress. He says it was actually a quicker dry that way. Is there an average time to leave it in the bag to dry or maybe a special glue to be used?Sorry this sounds so basic but we just got it and are trying it for the 1st time.Thanks in advanceCarol
