Darryl,I am just getting started with my Vacu Press system and a local hardwood shop is asking me to consider supplying them with veneered exotics for resale. These will probably be 8" x 8" up to 24" x 36" to be used for box lids and table tops.I would like to avoid problems and would be interested in your opinion on the best substrate materials to use.We have discussed 1/2" mdf as well as baltic birch ply.Having read your information here and watching your first video, I would value your opinion. Thanks,Les

Les,I would suggest the 1/2" baltic birch. It is more versatile than the mdf as the baltic birch will take screws, fasteners and hardware better.: Darryl,: I am just getting started with my Vacu Press system and a local : hardwood shop is asking me to consider supplying them with veneered : exotics for resale.
