I am working on a peroject to veneer a conference table. It is 16' x 5'6". I plan on making in two sections. My question is related to the changing of the grain direction at each end of the table. The client wants 45 degrees in each of the four corners to provide a mitered effect. I plan on laying up each side as a whole, laying the end pieces 90 to the top at each end then cutting from the center out to each corner. My only concern is whether the seams from the sides will align at the miter. This is my first large conference table. Am I heading in the right direction or is there a better way?
