Subject : Can I vacuum press 4 flat panels at once?

I have four birch 1/4" panels each about 20"x15" I am going to veneer on both sides with qtr sawn white oak. Can I vacuum press all the panels at once separating each panel with say wax paper? Is there a limit to the number of panels you should press at once or is it just governed by the size of the bag and time you have to get the sandwich glued up and in the bag and under vacuum. Any hints or tips would be appreciated as this is going to be my first vacuum pressing.

Dave,Sure you can glue up all four panels at once. The main factor is getting all four in before the glue on the first one begins to tack up. If your using a white or yellow glue you will have to move fast. If its urea resin glue then you will have plenty of time. Put some kind of rigid board between each panel, like 1/8" masonite. Wax paper alone is not enough.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I have four birch 1/4" panels each about 20"x15" I am going to veneer : on both sides with qtr sawn white oak.
