I have a table base that has a concave shape ( 5" deflection in 4') and I am thinking of trying to veneer this in a bag. How well does the vacuum pull on a concave shape? Thank you for your help.

Dan,You should have no trouble veneering a concave surface if you make sure that there is enough bag inside the concavity to press evenly against the substrate. Smooth the veneer to the substrate first, use a 1/8" or 1/4" plywood caul or a layer of 1/8 rubber to spread the pressure evenly, and hold the bag against the concave surface as the vacuum gets stronger.Good luck.
