I will be pressing some zebrawood veneer to some masonite for a long curved banquet this week and have plans to use yellow glue and post form the pannels. I wanted to thin the glue down a bit for more open time. What would be a good mixture and what is too thin? Thanks

Brian,Do not thin the glue more than 5% with water. This is what a glue manufacturer told me.For your information, masonite is not the best substrate to veneer on, especially not tempered masonite. Tempered masonite has oils in it affect bonding. Regular masonite bonds OK but often you can pull a layer of masonite up with the veneer.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I will be pressing some zebrawood veneer to some masonite for a long : curved banquet this week and have plans to use yellow glue and post : form the pannels.
