We are a 12 man custom furniture shop and do a couple thousand feet of veneer each year. I am new to the business and the long term woodworkers have used fastbond 30nv for ten years and can't understand my concerns. They have had very few issues with bubbles but last week we had rain and both had bubbles in current work. I need to know if fsv is a better solution or do we need to get a pro vac press? How hard would it be to get these guys trained on its use and limitations? We are not production but strictly one of a kind and they like to hand do all they can. I need help and the best possible end result. Thanks.

Glen,If you can get your guys to use a press and even regular yellow glue you will get consitently superior results to contact cement. It may leave your shop looking good most of the time but if you look at some of the veneered work a few years down the road I bet its not always so good.A vacuum press is very easy to use and training your works would not be hard at all.
