Hi everyone,

I hope you all are doing well. I wanted to take a few minutes to let you all know that I've not been around simply because I just didn't have the time! I have been so busy this past summer and I didn't get a chance to finish the vacuum table as any time I did have, it was spend finishing a rather big job we had. I now have the time and we're putting together all the parts. We have the plastic tiles installed on the top in readiness for the flip top which we are assembling now.

We built a cover that is made of 5/8" ultra light mdf and maple banding of full length to hold it all together. With that cover sitting on the tiled surface, we have a perfect surface to assemble things. There is around a 3" "band" relief where the flip top secures to which we have planed strips of wood that shim the cover so it stays flat. We even erected a major static winding system on this table as it's perfectly flat.

I have a couple of jobs where I have to make up laminations, so I *really* need to get it done! I am doing a journal and will make it available. I hope everyone liked part one.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Cheers

Gary
