I recently was working on a tabletop and I discovered several places at the end of the panel where my leaves of veneer had overlapped slightly as I taped them. It left several places where the veneer did not bond. Acting on Darryls advice, I used thin C/A glue in a hypodermic syringe to repair. First I used a very sharp knife and a straight edge to trim away the 1/32 inch of overlapping veneer. Then I loaded a syringe (from the back) with C/A, and I worked the needle under the edge of the veneer. I was careful to work the needle around a bit, so to get underneath all the loose veneer with the adhesive. Then I applied clamp pressure using a block of mdf and some wax paper to prevent the caul from bonding to the work. The technique worked beautifully and it is a great addition to the bag of tricks. Thanks again, Darryl.
