Subject : Cutting veneer straight with a machine - a survey

I am requesting participation from veneer craftsmen regarding cutting veneer in a straight line for perfect joints. I understand that not everyone has the capital for a guillotine (about 35K) or a veneer saw/ traveling head jointer (about 20K) If a machine other than a guillotine or veneer saw were available for trimming veneer1. What size would you most consider?2. What features would you require other than cutting straight and a depth (width) guage?3. How many hours per week (on average) does your shop spend cuttng veneer by hand?4.
