Subject : jointing veneers

I purchased one of these trimmers and use it with the fence to trim panels after being veneered. As for cutting joints with it, I've never used it for that. After many years of frustration I finally broke down and bought a veneer saw. It was costly but worth it. The saw works like a gillatine but instead uses a saw cut followed by a cutter head to clean the cut. Perhaps you could mimmic this by joining your edge after you cut it on your table saw. Burls can be the most difficult to cut. I still cut them one leaf at a time with a sharp utility knife.
