I'd like to share a tip I received from Darryl on my leaky bag.First, it should be pointed out that I bought the system about two years ago and never even opened the box until last week when I needed to use it for the first time. I cranked up the press and immediately upon auto shutdown, I was hearing mild hissing from both ends of the bag. In this condition the pump would cycle on every 10-15 seconds.I then placed spring clamps at the two ends of each rod and the time before recycle went up to about 35 minutes.I talked with Darryl about the problem and his recommendation was to apply some of the seal grip adhesive that comes with the bag to the seam just next to the plastic rods. The idea was to use just a small bit of the adhesive with a toothpick and then clamp it between two small blocks of wood with spring clamps overnight.I did this and tried the bag the next day on a press. Without any springs clamps the pump charged the bag one time only and brought it to about 24.5 in Hg. I left the piece in the bag overnight WITH THE PUMP OFF. The next morning pressure dropped to 20 in Hg and the bag was still pressing away. We're talking ONE pump down and 20 hrs of holding power with no recycling. Now that's a fix! Thanks Darryl.
