Your doing the one thing that is most important, doing your own testing. No matter what the “experts” say your own testing in the best answer. In general MDF does not need to be sanded to get good adhesion. Over the years I see some MDF that appears a little glossy and have sanded those sheets. Its been a while since Ive seen any MDF like this.
